Why not Engineered Flooring
It’s no revelation that wooden flooring is a popular choice for homes today. Homeowners do however often think all wood floors are created equal, which they certainly are not. In recent years engineered flooring has gain popularity largely due to the lower price points.
When you are choosing flooring, you are well served by remembering the old adage “You get what you pay for”. Engineered flooring has very little solid wood on it, with the wear layers being thin in many cases. For a homeowner this means heavily traffic areas can show wear quickly, and unfortunately there will be no way to refinish the surfaces.
Between normal wear and tear, kids dropping toys, and pets with claws, a less expensive engineered floor can be worn out in just a few years. If you’ve found your forever home, the last thing you want to be doing is replacing your floors five years in.
